From October 1, 2013, the European Commission decided that EN ISO 20471:2013 "High Visibility Clothing-Test Methods and Requirements" will replace EN471:2003+A1:2007 "Special High Visibility Warning Clothing-Test Methods and Requirements" as The EU's new harmonized standards for safety reflective clothing. From October 1, 2013, all EEC certifications for safety reflective clothing tested in accordance with EN471 will become invalid; all safety reflective clothing should meet the requirements of EN ISO 20471:2013 before being placed on the EU market. According to requirements, the main differences between the new EN ISO 20471:2013 reflectance standard and the old EN471:2003+A1:2007 standard mainly include the following seven aspects:

First, the color and brightness requirements should be met after the cleaning cycle;

Second, the dyeing requirements for color fastness to perspiration will be changed from level 3 to the lowest level 4;

The third is to change the tensile strength requirement of woven materials to a minimum of 100 N;

Fourth, the rupture strength requirement of knitted materials is changed to a test area of at least 100 kPa and 50 square centimeters (and a test area of at least 200 kPa 7.3 square centimeters);

Fifth, the physical performance test of single-layer or multi-layer clothing, the air permeability index (RET) cannot be greater than 5 square meters per watt. If the air permeability exceeds 5 square meters per watt, it must be measured and determined to be imt≥0.15;

Sixth, the performance levels of reflective materials are not distinguished, and the requirements are the same as level 2 of EN 471
